The texture of this pot is so so unique, its built up of layer upon layer in warm beiges and greys and is just as beautiful 360degrees round. Another of Oita quirks is the slightly domed base. When balanced she sits relatively up right but the additional photos help to show her unevenness. This can be overcome with the use of felt furniture pads which will also help with stability or it may be possible to sand down and flatten her base. Alternatively, Oita looks just as lovely lying on her side.

Antique Olive Pot Collection

Repurposed as large decorative statement pieces for the home + ornamental sculptures for the garden, Kiln’s collection of large Turkish olive pots + jars were used traditionally to store olive oil + preserves as early as the 19th Century. Each is individually selected for its authentic hand thrown charm + patina capturing years of desirable ageing.

Care

Take special care to simply clean with a damp cloth. For pots with a whitewash finish clean only with a dry cloth.

Terracotta is a porous material, pots are recommended as display only for dried, preserved + faux foliage. Use with a flexible pot liner to allow for fresh flowers in water.

For outdoor use pots must be protected from frost. We advise creating a drainage hole, many of our pots will have one. If used as a planter we recommend using a plastic pot liner within to allow for expansion of frozen soil + water.
