Primitive Homeware Collection

Once playing a role in daily family life of early 20thC rural Eastern Mediterranean + now given second-life as decorative wooden homewares. Kiln’s primitive collection pieces may have once found themselves on the kitchen tables of farmhouses, used for bread making. They are now best placed on display + brought out for hosting.

Care

Take special care to simply clean with a damp cloth. For pots with a whitewash finish clean only with a dry cloth.

Terracotta is a porous material, pots are recommended as display only for dried, preserved + faux foliage. Use with a flexible pot liner to allow for fresh flowers in water.

For outdoor use pots must be protected from frost. We advise creating a drainage hole, many of our pots will have one. If used as a planter we recommend using a plastic pot liner within to allow for expansion of frozen soil + water.
